James Tiberius Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) are the two opposite characters. Kirk is a young man with a soul rebel while Spock never did anything that is not logical, but fate brought them together and even the two become friends as well as a very solid team.
Kirk, who since birth has been left to die by his father's grown into a wild youth until he meets Captain Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood) who advised Kirk to join Starfleet Academy and continued his father's footsteps as a captain of a spaceship. Feeling challenged, Kirk decided to join Starfleet. In this academy he then met with Leonard McCoy (Karl Urban), who then became a good friend Kirk.
